Lanhydrock Parish Church is dedicated to St Hydroc who is thought to have come to Cornwall in the 6th century as a missionary from Wales. The present building dates to the late 15th century and was fully restored in the late 19th century by Thomas Charles, 2nd Lord Robartes. Standing outside the church is an eight feet high ornamented granite cross.
