The church of St Petroc - Petroc was a Welshman of noble birth who travelled widely founding churches not only in Padstow, but at Little Petherick and Bodmin and later in many parts of Britain, Wales and Brittany, France. This is the third church on this site, the first in the 6th century, then a 12th century church and the present one, built between 1425 & 1450. Below, the church tower contains six bells, recast in Gloucester in the 18th century they were brought to Padstow by sea.     Photo: David Packman
