As you can see from the photographs we've had several days of sunny weather, what you can't see is the bitingly cold east winds that came with the sun, after weeks of dull wet weather its made a change. The images below were taken on the short walk along the banks of the River Itchen between Itchen Stoke and Ovington.  All photographs © David Packman

These Mute Swans were in the process of building their nest.

This Long-tailed Tit bounced from tree to tree as we walked along the river path...

...later to be joined by this Robin...

...and this Wren hopping along the waters edge.

The Catkins are out...

...and so are the Snowdrops.
