Last  Week's  Photographs

The Queen Elizabeth 2 passing the north coast of the Isle of Wight after an evening departure from Southampton. The QE2 which was at the start of a cruise to the Mediterranean made her maiden voyage in 1969, and was the flagship of the Cunard Line for over 30 years. In November 2008 the QE2 will be delivered to Dubai World where she will be berthed at the Palm Jumeirah, said to be the world's largest man-made island the ship will become a luxury floating hotel.

Meanwhile wind surfers make the most of a strong late evening wind...

Time for a final walk as the sun gets low in the sky. Above and below the P&O Oceana follows the QE2 out of the Solent on a cruise called Canaries Highlights.
